  • Annie,

Awesome podcast! I went through Delivering Happiness quickly and enjoyed the read as well. Thanks for the honest review.

I saw you say in the comment above that you want an iTunes podcast? I can set it up for you and point you in the right direction if you want help! Just email me shane@shanemac.me or you know where to find me on Twitter!

  • Shane, thank you so much! I might take you up on that. :)
  • Great podcast, Annie! I really enjoyed it.

I want to echo your comments about The Art of Racing in the Rain. Although I really enjoyed the book, I don't think I would describe it as "darling." As a guy, I'm not sure I'm allowed to describe anything as "darling." You are correct that it sounds weird that the story is told from the viewpoint of a dog. However, the author makes it work incredibly well.

    Here's what I'm reading:

    Just finished:
    * Blue-Eyed Devil by Robert B. Parker (Fiction)-- Not his best effort, but still a good read.
    * God is Not One by Stephen Prothero (Non-Fiction)-- I really enjoyed the book, despite the fact that the author failed to uphold his initial argument that most/all religions don't worship the same God.

    Currently Reading:
    * Primal Blueprint by Mark Sissons (Non-Fiction)-- Very interesting book about eating/exercising like our primal ancestors.
  • Thanks for listening in, Lou, I appreciate it.

    Primal Blueprint? Looks *so* fascinating.
  • Ingimarbj
Current fiction reading: The picture of Dorion Gray
Current non-fiction: 50th law by Robert Greene and 50 Cent.

    Like this podcast.
  • Thank you, Ingimarbj! Ohh, 50th Law looks interesting...
  • When is this podcast gonna be on iTunes?!
    Currently re-reading: Crush It!
Currently reading for the first time: Six Pixels of Separation (just came today!)
  • iTunes you say? Teach me how to do it and it's there!

Let's chat about 5 Pixels when we both finish, would love to hear your thoughts, Mike!
  • Forgot to add what I'm reading.

The Business of the 21st Century - Robert Kiyosaki
The 4-Hour Workweek - Timothy Ferriss
  • Ohh, two good ones!
  • Very cool and love the idea! The text is one way to offer insight, but listening to you adds a whole new dimension to it. Your true emotions come out.

    Waiting for more!!!

This comment brought to you by...little ole' me!
  • Nice. :)
  • Very awesome to have you in the podcasting fold! Great start also, I like the fact that you have set regular segments from the get go. So many times beginning podcasters (points at myself) turn on the mic and go without giving much thought to the second episode and continuity in the future.

    Can't wait to hear more!!
  • I was hoping to have enough structure to continue them in the weeks to come, yet not so much that they're rigid and HAVE to follow the standard. Thanks for your thoughts on that!

Thanks, as always, Rod, for stopping by. I appreciate you!

Love the podcast Annie! Had been wondering about Delivering Happiness and if it'd be worth the buy, so thanks for the honest review on that.

Currently I'm reading What Should I Do With My Life by Po Bronson...you wouldn't think someone my age would read such a title, but it. is. so. INSPIRING! I checked it out of the library, and when I returned it late and had to pay a fine (without even finishing!), I crossed the street to B & N and bought my own copy!

Po Bronson traveled around the world interviewing people who he'd heard/read about who had found their passion in life and were living it, about 700 people in all! The book tells the story of about 70 of them, and what I am loving is that none of the paths that these folks took are the same. Po has geniously strung these lovable people's stories together so that if read in order deliver quite the momentum punch. Excellent read and highly recommended!

The second book I'm reading is
  • Cheryl!! Thank you! Regarding What Should I Do With My Life, I think I might have told you this...but I bought that book the month I graduated from college. As in, 7 YEARS AGO. Yeah, it's still sitting on the shelf unread. If you truly found it that inspiring, though, I'll be forced to bump it up in the reading order. :) Thanks for that!
