Thoughts about 2010

November 17, 2009

2010
1. I’m gonna rock Twitter‘s face off.

2. I’m gonna take even more advantage of the amazing, personalized networking that takes place on DailyBooth.

3. I’m gonna launch 3 new websites & 1 web tv show.

4. It’s gonna be amazing.

More where those came from. What’s on your radar for two-oh-one-oh?

Thanks, Grady. Web show will be tapping into my ultimate #1 passion – personal development, specifically, books. Beyond excited to share it with everyone! One of the sites will be for that show, another is an outdoor sports-related site I’m assisting the hubby with, 3rd is still in the idea phase so won’t share that one yet. :)

    What’s on YOUR 2010 list?

I keep telling myself I'll write a book and I have 3 concepts outlined with basic research so I think 2010 is the year to write and publish at least one of those books.

I'm going to blog more frequently.

I'm going to start doing public speaking

I'm going to assist others who don't have the money or capability to do what I know how to do…. and do it for free because we all need a helping hand.

Awesome list! Love the last one…how are you going to assist them? Or find them?

      • http://www.leader4hire.net Leader4hire

Right now, they find me (Facebook, twitter, my blog, and my comment trails on sites like yours). They find me at conferences, through friends who know what I'm about, through past people who have worked with me. I find them by telling everyone I know that I am willing and able to help. I find them by being accessible and visible and not keeping myself a secret…. Sounds all fluffy I'm sure, but that's my process so far. I assist by granting permission to people who need permission. I assist by donating time and information to those who are taking action, but lack something I have. Generally I don't give money, I give time, attention, my connections to others, analogies, sales tips, and most of all, I help them embrace their ideas and act on them…. it seems thats what we need more than anything else.

And not to self promote, but I wrote a full article on living your dream and why no one else wants you to live your dream. Seems relevant in this discussion. http://leader4hire.net/2009/12/living-your-dream/

Are you helping others? Maybe you know something that could help me? Or help me help someone else?

        Happy New Year Annie!

        Best,
        Justin

Awesome, Justin. “I find them by telling everyone I know that I am willing and able to help.” That piece is something I think many – including myself! – could improve upon. Your post about living your dream is so spot on (unfortunately so). Because so many people are negative about OTHERS living their dreams it's easy to lose a bit of confidence with what we're doing and not be as open about our passion. If we don't tell them, they can't reject it/us, right? We shouldn't be embarrassed, we shouldn't be hiding what we care most about!

My passion surrounds helping others – specifically it's inspiring people that yes, they CAN live a better life in some way, shape, or form if they simply DECIDE to. If they can dream it, they can do it.

I can't wait to see what people 2010 brings both of us to help! Many exciting things ahead!

2010 is going to be a great year – for many! Are you helping anyone right now?

I swear Im not trying to push my links on you, but in October I posted this http://leader4hire.net/2009/10/the-magic-of-men… on the importance of mentoring.

Mentoring and living your dream are closely connected. I find the more I do to help others, the closer I am to living my dream. What about you?

(Man, I sound like a life coach or something lol)!
