Do you write down your goals?

October 22, 2009

Is it worth it to write down your goals? I think it is and here’s why.

P.S. The blog post I reference in the video can be found here.
P.P.S Don’t forget that we’re going through a site re-design! Thanks for being patient with us, even though we look a little wonky.

    Hi Annie,
Loved reading, uh, I mean listening to this post! I used to be pretty stubborn about writing stuff down, but have learned the hard way that getting it on paper serves to increase my resolve and focus my efforts. Not sure exactly why.

It’s sort of an accountability thing I think, if only to myself. And, then sharing those goals, dreams, whatever they may be with others (as you did!) takes it another giant step forward! Why not give ourselves every advantage to having the kind of life we want? If the goals and dreams are worth having, they are definitely worth writing down!

Yah for you with posting your bucket list! I’m gonna do that tonight and post it tomorrow on my site.

Well hello, storygirl! Glad to hear that you’ve had success in increasing the productivitity towards accomplishing your goals simply by writing them down. The proof is in the pudding, eh?

Ha, you’re awesome, Rus! The inspiration for this video was ALL you. Thanks for all you do!

I thought I commented on this but for some reason it didn’t go through, so I’ll post again!

Great idea of writing down your goals. I need to update mine some but I actually use 43things.com (http://www.43things.com/person/scrappapervlog)

I set it up a while ago and need to change my username, so I’ll probably close then reopen the account but anyway…

43things.com keeps track of your goals and can connect you with people that either want to do the same goal or have done that goal and can offer tips on accomplishing them!

Wow, Mike, thanks for the tip on 43things.com. The site is AMAZING. Where has it been all of my life?!! This is gonna be huge.

Your list is fantastic, keep adding to it! Big thumbs-up on attending the Olympics, I can’t wait to do that, too. :)
