Story time: A massive Twitter WIN

November 18, 2009

A really cool thing happened to me a few weeks ago that represents the core purpose of what Twitter, and really networking online of any kind, is all about. Here’s why:

You can find Inbound Marketing here.

What Twitter Wins have you experienced? Share.

wow this is an amazing story. I once saw a video how @unmarketing got some free shoes online, but other than that I never thought that was really possible. I give a lot of my time to help people with blogging, web design and programming for free. But other than tons of postcards I never gave anything physical to anybody from the internet.

Thanks, Ric. I believe that the more you show people that YOU care, the more you get back in return. I have so many more, fun examples of Twitter Wins…stay tuned for more. It's powerful stuff.

just to clarify, the guy who gave u the book was the one who wrote it right?

    • http://twitter.com/anniesorensen Annie Sorensen

Correct! Dharmesh is one of three authors of the book…Brian Halligan and David Meerman Scott are the others.

Ok, that makes a lot of sense. for a moment i thought it was just a random act of kindness.

Dharmesh reminds me of Steve from pokenzoo!

Aside from getting the free book, now you've got a relationship with the author. And the power of that relationship over time is potentially invaluable. All 'cause of twitter. (Three sentences in a row that start with the letter a. Is that acceptable?)

    Thanks for sharing this!

      EXACTLY.

(And yes, totally acceptable, as long as I'm allowed to start sentences with “And?”)

    Hi Annie,

Great Story. Dharmesh is not only the author of Inbound Marketing but he is also the cofounder and CTO of HubSpot (my employer). I hope you enjoy the book.
